Crews from the town tackled the blaze

Location: Garston Street, Shepton Mallet
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a van on fire at the above location.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed fire in the back of the van, crews got to work with one hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and cutting equipment to extinguish the fire.

A man has been jailed for five years after more than £100,000 worth of heroin was found at his house.
Yesterday (June 19) at the same court he was jailed for five years, 15 months and one month respectively for the charges, to run concurrently.
