Vehicle Fire at Garston Street, Shepton Mallet

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a van on fire at the above location.
Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Shepton Mallet to attend this incident.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed fire in the back of the van, crews got to work with one hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and cutting equipment to extinguish the fire.
The van was forty percent damaged by fire. This was believed to be a deliberate ignition.
