Temporary traffic lights are planned on the B3136 Waterloo Road, in Shepton Mallet, for roadworks this week.

The lights are scheduled to be in place at the bottom of Waterloo Road on Thursday (January 7) and Friday (January 8).

They are set to be used to enable Wales and West Utilities to replace some temporary repairs with permanent ones.

Other roadworks in the Shepton Mallet area that are due to take place this week include:

In Stoke St Michael, the lane from Susanna's Lane to Burnt House Lane is scheduled to be closed from Monday (January 4) to January 15 between 8am and 6pm to enable Truespeed Telecommunications to install new poles and carry out cabling works.

Also in Stoke St Michael, Wales and West Utilities are set to be laying a new service in Field Close from Tuesday (January 5) to Friday.

Multi-way temporary traffic lights are due to be in place from Monday to Friday at the junction of the B3139 and Fry's Well in Chilcompton for Bristol Water works.

From Monday to Wednesday (January 6), multi-way temporary traffic lights are scheduled on the A367 in Stratton-on-the-Fosse from the junction with Abbey Road to the junction with Church Lane, to enable BT to desilt and clear blockages, and lay a duct.

On the same days, Truespeed is set to be clearing a blockage making a customer connection in The Old Maltings, Oakhill.

Finally, from Thursday to January 11, BT is due to be clearing blockages in Holcombe Hill.
