Plans submitted to build house in Evercreech garden

Plans have been submitted to Mendip District Council for a house to be built in a garden in Evercreech.

A planning application has been submitted for the building of a dwellinghouse at Greenacres, Prestleigh Road, Evercreech, by Mr and Mrs Miller.

The detached house would be built in the front garden of the property, and would be a two-storey, three-bedroom home.

Other planning applications in the Shepton Mallet area that have been submitted this week to Mendip District Council include:

Application for a certificate of lawful existing development for widening of existing vehicle entrance and track on land at Cockmill Lane, East Pennard, has been made by Mr Raymond Loxton.

Application for a proposed lawful development certificate for demolition of existing garage and replace with a garage at 6 Leighton Close, Evercreech, has been made by Mrs Janet Banks.

Erection of wooden barn for agricultural use at Ham Mill, Ham Hill, Holcombe, has been applied for by Dr Dave Durkin.

Erection of farm building to include storage of wood chip for on-farm use at Grove Shute Farm, Towns End Lane, Leigh-on-Mendip, is wanted by Mr Nicholas Hiscox.

Application for approval of details reserved by conditions 5 (works of construction) on planning consent 2016/2238/VRC at Worthy Farm, Worthy Lane, Pilton, has been made by Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd.

Works to a tree in a Conservation Area T1 - bay tree - fell at Church View House, Frys Lane to Mill Lane, Batcombe, have been applied for by Mrs E Clarke.

Prior approval for change of use of agricultural building to a dwellinghouse (use Class C3) and for associated operational development at The Holdings, Parsonage Lane, Chilcompton, is wanted by Mr J Hill.

Application for a non-material amendment to permission 2020/2177/FUL for the wording on conditions 12, 17 and 18 at Fosse House Nursing Home, South Street, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, has been made by Fosse House Care Home Ltd.

Prior approval for change of use of agricultural building to a dwellinghouse (use Class C3) at Wraxall House, New Road, Wraxall, has been applied for by Mr J Cierach.

Five Day Notice for T1 - ash - fell at Manor Cottage, Brewery Lane, Holcombe, is wanted by Mr P Shirley.

Application for confirmation of compliance with conditions 1-8 on permission 2014/1515/REM (application for approval of reserved matters for residential development of 50 dwellings: appearance including materials, landscaping, layout and scale of dwellings) on land to the north of the Somerset Wagon, Broadway, Chilcompton, has been approved.

Erection of a four/five-bedroom dwellinghouse, extension of curtilage following the demolition of existing dwellinghouse at Ditcheat Hill Farm Bungalow, Ditcheat Hill to Vale View, Ditcheat, by Mrs K Humphries has been approved.

Replace poultry shed with holiday let at The Old Rectory, Pylle Hill, Pylle, by Mrs A Sexton has been withdrawn.

Proposed replacement of cast iron bridge parapet with steel crash barrier at Station House, Old Frome Road, Masbury, by Mr J Bourne has been approved.

Replacement of glass in three windows to the north elevation, with repair to stonework mullions at Tanyard House, Fosse Road, Oakhill, by Mr Philip Brown has been approved.

Replacing small clay tiles with double Roman clay tiles to east and west roof elevations at Old End Cottage, Zion Hill, Oakhill, by Mrs Julie Evans has been approved.

Variation of condition 2 (plans list) of permission 2020/2264/HSE (erection of a single-storey side infill extension, partial conversion of garage with first-floor extension to create a residential annexe associated with main dwelling) at Willow Cottage, Whitstone Hill, Pilton, by Mr and Mrs A Steele has been approved.

Erection of single-storey living room extension and entrance hall extension at Solis Ortus, Maesdown Hill, Evercreech, by Mr and Mrs M Roffey has been approved.

Application for approval of details reserved by condition 4 (provision of bat box) on planning consent 2019/1477/LBC at The Manor House, Wraxall Road to Folly Cottages, Ditcheat, by Mr Andrew Morris has been approved.

Proposed two-storey and single-storey rear extension at Lantern House, Bread Street, Pilton, by Mr Moore has been approved.

Extension and garage conversion to rear at Edreston House, Back Lane, Stoney Stratton, by Mr and Mrs Simper has been approved.

Erection of rear dormer at 49 Victoria Grove, Shepton Mallet, by Mr S Kayum has been approved.

Prior approval for change of use of agricultural building to a dwelling house (use Class C3) at the barn at Middle Thrupe Farm, Thrupe Lane, Masbury, by Mr D Start has been given.
