Body of woman discovered in Shepton Mallet

The body of a woman was discovered in Shepton Mallet this morning (June 16).
Avon and Somerset Police were called just after 6.30am by a member of the public reporting finding the body of a woman in a public area off Cannard's Grave Road.
Officers are treating this as a sudden death and will make a report to the Somerset coroner in due course.
A police spokesperson told Shepton Mallet Nub News: "The next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them."
