Fire Control received a call reporting a chimney fire within a property which was spreading to the kitchen of a property at the above location earlier this evening.
Fire engines from Glastonbury, Cheddar and Shepton Mallet were quickly mobilised and were soon on scene, along with a Operational Assurance Officer.
Crews informed control that that the fire in kitchen area was out on arrival however there was still a fire within a wood burning stove. Crews got to work attacking the fire with a hose reel jet and made up for a Rescue Tender to attend the incident in order to use their flexi camera to check for any remaining hot spots.

1 x hose reel jet, 1 x thermal image camera, 1 x snake eye flexi camera and small tools were used in tackling the fire at this incident. Crews also removed a one metre section of the ceiling to check for fire spread, none found. The agar and chimney flue were removed from the property.
These are all the details we have on this incident.
