It is carnival week in Shepton Mallet and the town is getting ready to host the annual, brightly-lit extravaganza.
Shepton Mallet Carnival will take place on Wednesday November 13 from 7.30pm, and the build up to the event will start tomorrow (November 11).
There will be temporary traffic lights on the roundabout by the Cenotaph in Shepton Mallet this week for patching work.
The multi-way lights will be in operation at the roundabout where the A371 meets the High Street and Park Road on Tuesday and Wednesday November 12 and 13, though they will be removed in time for the carnival procession.

For the second year, people braved a very wet cold night in November to bed down for the Rec Sleep Out event.
Among those attending the Bath Rugby Foundation event at Bath Rugby's ground was the Mendip district councillor Barry O'Leary from Evercreech.
The A371 is partly blocked following an accident near Shepton Mallet.
The crash happened between Pecking Mill Road and the Natterjack Inn, and motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) at Grove House Surgery has set up an exercise class at Pullen Court in Shepton Mallet.
The class is held on Tuesdays at 1.30pm in the Pullen Court Community Room. It is open to the residents of Pullen Court, their friends and family and the local community.
Avon and Somerset Police are seeking witnesses after an altercation in Coleford.
Several men were involved in the incident in Coleford between 10.15am and 11.15am on Monday (November 4).

A new bypass could be constructed north of the Glastonbury Festival site in Pilton to ease traffic on one of the area's major freight routes.
Details have emerged of plans for a new road running north of the A361 at Pilton, which could take traffic away from the current road potentially all the way to Glastonbury itself.

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses, following a fail to stop crash near Shepton Mallet.
The incident happened on Monday (November 4) at about 1pm on Ham Lane, near to Croscombe.
