Plans submitted to extend Travis Perkins in Shepton Mallet

Plans have been submitted to Mendip District Council to extend the Travis Perkins building in Shepton Mallet.

A planning application for the extension to the builders' merchant (sui generis), external storage compound (retrospective), new perimeter fencing and the increase in height of external storage to 5.5m within the storage yard together with associated works at Travis Perkins, Crown Trading Estate, Shepton Mallet, has been submitted by Mr I Bell on behalf of the company.

The extension to the builders' merchant building is proposed to be sited along the eastern boundary of the site.

It will be closed on the eastern and southern sides, but will be open facing inward to the storage yard through three bays.

Other planning applications in the Shepton Mallet area that have been submitted this week to Mendip District Council include:

Construction of stoned farm tracks across 35 hectares of agricultural farm land, to also be used for walking, cycling and bridal ways (part retrospective) at Cooks Wood Quarry, Bector Lane, Stoke St Michael, is wanted by Mr Warrack Massey.

Proposed conversion and extension of agricultural buildings to create a dwelling at Upper Westholme Farm, Perridge Hill, Pilton, has been applied for by Ms Louise Pickering.

Replacement of wooden windows with uPVC windows at 3 Henley Rise, Shepton Mallet, is wanted by Martin Riddell.

Erection of single-storey rear extension and associated external works at Sunnybank, Weymouth Road, Evercreech, has been applied for by Mr Neil Shack.

Repairs to roof, walls, interior; installation of new fittings and finishes; form new door opening in gable wall at 6 Coombe Lane, Shepton Mallet, are wanted by Mr and Mrs Latham.

Application for a non-material amendment to permission 2020/2065/HSE for the change of fenestration to the front elevation at The Little Manor, Nevilles Batch, Binegar, has been made by Mr and Mrs T Gregory.

Planning applications in the Shepton Mallet area that have been decided this week by Mendip District Council include:

Erection of a four-bedroom dwellinghouse at Cooks Farm, Partmans Hill, Stoke St Michael, by Mr David Eaton has been refused.

Application to vary condition 1 (drawings) of planning approval 2017/2056/FUL (demolition of existing workshop and single garage, erection of single dwelling, improvements to existing access serving three dwellings, formation of new access to Sunny Holm) on a plot to the rear of Sunnyholme, Charlton Road, Holcombe, by Mr Oliver Hill has been approved.

Application for approval of details reserved by condition 3 (materials) on planning consent 2018/1672/FUL at Barrow Farm, Barrow Lane, North Wootton, by Mr Joshua White has been approved.

Single-storey extension to the south elevation, with paved path and area at Mendip Country Practice, Church Street, Coleford, by Drs Jennings and Partners has been approved.

Proposed conversion of two existing apartments into one dwelling and erection of a new dwellinghouse at Lower Withial Farm, Withial Lane, East Pennard, by Mr Andrew Lawford has been refused.
