Location: Bakers Lane, Chilcompton, Wells
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a shed fire at the above location. One fire appliance from Shepton Mallet, one from Wells and one from Castle Carey were mobilised to this incident.
Upon arrival crews confirmed one shed fire, crews extinguished using two hose reel jets. The shed was completely destroyed by fire and slight damage was also caused to patio doors and pergula. The cause is under investigation.

Can you help us find 86-year-old Kenneth Scotcher? He's missing from his home in Nunney and we're concerned about his welfare.
He is described as white and about 5ft 6ins tall with grey hair.
When last seen he was wearing beige trousers, a brown jumper and beige slip-on shoes.

Location: Ham Lane East, Shepton Mallet
Two Fire Engines from Shepton Mallet and a Water Carrier from Bridgwater were sent to a reported barn fire.
On arrival crews confirmed this was a large commercial barn with some hay bales on fire. Crews extinguished the fire using 2 Hose reel jets, a thermal image camera, 1 thatching lance and a telehandler from the farm. The fire was accidental and there were 25 hay bales destroyed by fire.

Crews from the town tackled the blaze

Location: Garston Street, Shepton Mallet
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a van on fire at the above location.
On arrival the officer in charge confirmed fire in the back of the van, crews got to work with one hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and cutting equipment to extinguish the fire.
