Development Technologist Food/NPD - Shepton Mallet
Food Development Technologist required for a well established manufacturer who offer a varied and interesting role within an experience and supportive team environment.
The role would suit food development technologists or product development experts who have experience with NPD from concept to launch.
Applicants with experience working within the food industry will have a considerable advantage. Candidates will ideally have a food science or food technology qualification as a minimum.
Reporting to the NPD Manager, the main remit of your role will to assist with development of new products in partnership with internal colleagues and external customers. You will be involved with the process from initial product concept to product launch.
The role will involve aspects of kitchen concept work, factory trials, ingredient/process support, documentation checks and artwork approval processes. You will work to strict health and safety procedures and food safety/quality guidelines.

The role:
- Concept to launch new product development
- Working alongside a range of internal departments, external customers and liaising with suppliers

The person:
- Must be a food development technologist or product development expert

Legal Cashier - Shepton Mallet
Lyons Bowe is looking to appoint a Legal Cashier to join their busy and growing Shepton Mallet office.
The successful Legal Cashier will be responsible for maintaining the office and client account records in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules. You will work within the existing Account Depertment.
The main duties of the role will include:
- Assisting the firm in adhering to the Solicitors Accounts Rules;
- Answering all telephone calls without delay and dealing with staff queries;
- Day to day processing and reconciliation of the Client and Office accounts in line with SAR and VAT regulations;
- Ensuring all daily work is dealt with accurately and efficiently;
- Maintaining the Nominal and Supplier ledgers;
- Administration of the online banking system;
- Compilation of accounts reports and data when requested by the management team;
- Month End procedures;
- Ensure work issues or problems are reported immediately to the management team;
- Ensuring compliance with the firms policies and procedures;
- Undertake other accounts and administrative duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
The candidate:
The role will involve working to deadlines therefore organisational skills are important as well as prompt and accurate attention to detail.
Previous accounts experience within the legal sector is essential. Experience of SOS Practice Manager preferable although not essential.

Permanent, full-time. Salary £17,000 to £25,000 per annum.

- Work part-time hours between the hours of 8.30am and 2.30pm
- Cover periods of leave for a fixed number of routes (so you'll need to be a bit flexible)
- Sort the mail for your route
- Check your vehicle and join a colleague for your round
- Spend between four and six hours delivering mail outdoors
About you:
- Upbeat and self-motivated: You'll be happy working solo as well as part of a team.
- Love of the outdoors: From rural farms to city apartments, corner shops to business parks, whatever the weather (and, this being Britain, it can get quite extreme) we're there, six days a week. That means you'll need to be happy being out and about.
- Good level of fitness: There's up to six hours per day of walking, so you should relish a role that keeps you fit.
- Excellent organisation: You will need to be able to plan your round and make sure you complete all your deliveries in good time.
- Resilience: You will be able to work under pressure and with the public, acting as a friendly face that people know and trust.
- Flexibility: You will be working in different areas covering your colleagues' holidays, so you might need to adjust your working hours to match your round.
Driving licence requirements:
A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points is essential, but a clean licence is preferred. Please note you will be required to show this at assessment.
