Shepton Mallet residents will be able to speak to local police officers at two public drop-in sessions this month.

Avon and Somerset Police has listed two "Come meet us" events for the town, giving people the chance to raise concerns, ask for advice or simply meet members of the local neighbourhood policing team.

The first session will be held at The Art Bank Café on Friday, 21 August, from 10.30 am to midday. The second will take place at Shepton Mallet Library on Saturday, 29 August, from 10 am to 11.30 am.

Police say the neighbourhood team will be available to listen to concerns, provide guidance and discuss local issues that matter to residents. The sessions are open to people who want information about a specific issue, as well as those who simply want to meet their local officers.

The events come as Shepton Mallet's neighbourhood policing team continues work on local priorities, including anti-social behaviour. Residents are being encouraged to use the drop-ins as a direct way to speak to the team about what is happening in the town.

No booking is needed for either session. Residents can turn up during the listed times and speak to officers in person.
