Shepton Mallet Town Council is recruiting a full-time project officer to help plan and deliver projects across the town.

The permanent role is advertised with a salary of £36,681 to £40,444 a year. The successful applicant would work with councillors, residents, community groups, businesses and public sector partners.

The job description lists the proposed new town hall, town centre regeneration, community facilities, youth provision and transport among the areas the officer could work on.

The role would also involve preparing project plans and budgets, seeking external funding, supporting grant applications and reporting progress to councillors.
