Somerset Council has announced overnight closures on several roads around Shepton Mallet for pre-surface dressing works in February.

The closure will affect Old Frome Road to Underhill, including Long Hill, Bath Road and Kilver Street, for a total stretch of 6.4km. The works are scheduled to run from Tuesday, 11 February to Wednesday, 19 February, between 7pm and 6am each night.

The project will be carried out by Kiely Bros on behalf of Somerset Highways. The official diversion will be marked with solid diamond symbols to avoid confusion with other local works.

Residents are advised to plan ahead and check the official diversion route for travel updates during the closure period.
