Shepton Mallet firefighters are set to run a charity car wash at Tesco car park in the town on Saturday, 28 March 2026. The event will raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity and is due to run from 10 am until 3 pm.

The fundraiser will take place at Tesco, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5EG, with people invited to bring their cars along and make a charity donation. Publicity for the event says crews are looking forward to welcoming supporters on the day.

The Fire Fighters Charity supports current and former fire and rescue service personnel, as well as their families. Events such as car washes are a familiar way for local crews to raise money while meeting residents face to face in the community.

People planning to attend should head to the Tesco car park in Shepton Mallet during the five-hour event window on Saturday, 28 March.
