Shepton Mallet Art Bank summer sessions for children
By Laura Linham 14th Jul 2026
The Art Bank in Shepton Mallet is running three child-led creative sessions for children aged 8 to 12 during the summer holidays. The Art Bank Summer Fridays sessions will take place at 13 High Street on Friday, 7 August, Friday, 14 August and Friday, 21 August, from 10am to 2pm.
The sessions will be led by Rose and Vix and may include art, clay, cooking, outdoor learning, free play, games and plenty of making and experimenting. They are open to all children in the age group, but have been designed with neurodivergent children in mind.
Where places are limited, priority will be given to neurodivergent children and to children who would benefit from a smaller, more supportive creative environment. The organisers say children who require one-to-one support, or who cannot safely take part independently, must be accompanied by a parent or carer throughout the session.
Each session costs £10 per child, plus booking fee. Children should bring a packed lunch, while squash and water will be provided.
Applications close on Wednesday, 22 July. Successful applicants will then be contacted and given three days to make payment and secure their place.
