Construction is progressing on a new self-service car wash located behind Tesco in Shepton Mallet.

Work gets underway on the site.

This project is transforming a previously unused plot near the Cannards Grave roundabout on Station Road into the Smart Auto Spa.

Underfloor heating will mean the car wash will work, even in sub-zero temperatures

Recent developments include the installation of a large commercial water tank and the addition of a heavy-duty gas pipe.

The car wash promises advanced features like underfloor heating, softened water, and hot wax and pre-soak options. Designed for convenience, it will offer multiple bays to reduce waiting times.

How the car wash should look when the work is complete and it's open to the public.

Operating hours are planned from 7 am to 11 pm, and the facility will include modern lighting and a roof for weather protection.
