Friday, 15 November
Kick off the weekend in Glastonbury with a performance by acclaimed singer-songwriter Fraser Anderson at the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms. Also on Friday, Wells Carnival returns, bringing its famous illuminated procession to the streets of Wells. Starting at 7 pm, the event will feature dozens of illuminated floats, live music, and a colourful parade of performances through the town centre. Saturday, 16 November
The morning begins with a chance to support sustainable living at the Glastonbury Repair Café. Held at St. Benedict's Church from 10 am to noon, visitors are invited to bring broken household items, toys, or clothing for repair by local experts. For a musical evening, head to Theale Village Hall for a Concert of Traditional & Contemporary American and English Song. For families, The Mid-Somerset Orchestra is hosting a family matinee at Strode Theatre in Street. The concert, which starts at 3 pm, will take audiences on a musical journey through classics like Grieg's Norwegian Dances and Elgar's Enigma Variations. Conducted by Hitoshi Suzuki and introduced by compere Neil Howiantz, the event offers up to two free child tickets with each adult ticket, making it an affordable afternoon for families.
