First up, the All the World's Our Playground Family Theatre Festival is celebrating its fifth anniversary. This unique festival, programmed by primary-aged children, takes place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July. Expect a 50m life-sized sperm whale with theatre shows inside, pop-up swing dance workshops, immersive blockbuster movie scenes, and a thrilling six-piece acrobatic circus. The festival spreads across Collett Park, the town centre, The Art Bank, Shepton Mallet Library, and St Paul's Junior School. Most events are free, and tickets for others are £3 or less. Don't miss this magical weekend of play and performance. For more details, visit Dive into fun at the fifth All the World's Our Playground Family Theatre Festival in Shepton Mallet.

If you have something broken, don't throw it away – bring it to the Shepton Mallet Repair Café at the Art Bank this Saturday. From 11am to 1pm, volunteer repairers will help you fix wooden, electrical, and mechanical items, as well as bags, belts, and clothing. It's a great way to save money, reduce waste, and learn some new skills. For more details, visit Shepton Mallet Repair Café.

Enjoy an evening of outdoor theatre with British Touring Shakespeare's adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic, "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde." Set in the stunning surroundings of the East Somerset Railway, this performance promises a fresh and energetic take on the gothic masterpiece. Don't forget to bring a picnic blanket or chair, and of course, a picnic. For more information, visit The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde.
