The Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet hosted a record-breaking 226 events in 2025, with the site booked for 318 days of the year, new figures reveal.

Organisers confirmed the site was in use 87 per cent of the year, with events held on 43 weekends — including two major festivals, seven flea markets, and an all-night rave.

The figures, released by the Royal Bath & West Society, show growing demand for the venue, which also welcomed:

• 4 Antiques and Collectors Fairs
• 8 Young Driver events
• 22 motor events
• 2 fitness events
• 13 brand new additions to the calendar

A new Head of Events was appointed during the year, bringing the core team to five permanent staff. The Showground and its organisers also scooped two awards for event delivery and team performance.

The year caps a rapid revival for one of Somerset's key venues, with organisers promising another packed programme in 2026 — including the flagship Royal Bath & West Show.
