Shepton Mallet is busy with a host of exciting events this weekend, promising fun and entertainment for all ages.

From rocking tribute nights to markets, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The weekend kicks off on Friday, 26th July 2024, at 19:30 with a legendary rock night featuring Foo Fakers and Nirvanot at Studio24 in Wells.

These top tribute bands will perform classic hits from Foo Fighters and Nirvana, guaranteeing a high-energy evening. Expect to hear favourites like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Everlong" that will have the crowd singing and moshing all night long. Don't miss your chance to experience this epic rock event. Running from Thursday, 25th July to Tuesday, 30th July 2024, New Wine 2024 returns to our sponsors The Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet. This annual summer festival is a six-day gathering of Christians from across the UK, featuring New Wine Kids, Luminosity, Young Adults Collective, and more. The event aims to equip the local church to release spirit-filled followers of Jesus. Find out more.

On Saturday, 27th July 2024, Nunney Fayre Day takes place at Nunney Castle. This delightful event celebrates local produce, crafts, and performers. Anticipation is high for Shepton Mallet's next Sunday Market on 28th July 2024. Following the success of the inaugural market in April, which attracted over 2,000 visitors, the upcoming market promises to be even bigger. With over 70 traders showcasing a diverse range of products, visitors can enjoy a lively day filled with delicious food, great music, and plenty of fun. The market will be held from 10am to 3pm. For an outdoor adventure, check out the Eco-ArtsFest 2024 Bugs & Grubs Trail. This community arts event, running through Shepton Mallet, Doulting, and Cranmore, features 60 sculpted insects made from repurposed materials. Art lovers can visit the Summer Art Exhibition hosted by SMart at Create@#8 on Town Street. The exhibition showcases works from over 20 talented artists and is open Thursdays to Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, plus Sunday, 28th July for the Shepton Independent Market. Learn more.
