Wraxall Vineyard in Shepton Mallet is celebrating a significant victory after their Bacchus Reserve won the best bacchus in England & Wales at the WineGB awards on Friday.

This prestigious accolade highlights the exceptional quality of their wine, which stood out in a highly competitive category.

A spokesman said:. "We are super proud that our Bacchus stood out amongst some great wines in a strong category."

Susie Barrie MW, co-chair of the judging panel, praised the diversity and quality of this year's winners. "I can't recall us ever having such a diverse selection of WineGB trophy winners as we have this year, and I don't just mean the fact that they come from 13 different counties. The range of grape varieties and winemaking styles included on the trophy list is testament to just how curious, ambitious and increasingly accomplished the UK's winemakers are."
