Anticipation is high as Shepton Mallet prepares for the next instalment of its highly successful Sunday Market.

Following the tremendous success of the inaugural market in April, which attracted over 2,000 visitors and filled the town's car parks to capacity, the upcoming market on Sunday, 28th July, promises to be even bigger and better.

With over 70 traders set to showcase their wares, the market offers a unique opportunity to explore and enjoy a diverse range of products. Among the new traders is Cotton Lily, who will present handmade houseplant accessories, including plant supports, trellises, and plant ties. These beautifully crafted items are designed to enhance your houseplants while complementing your interior design.

For those with a sweet tooth and a taste for luxury, Rutab will be a standout highlight. The gold Taste of the West award winners will offer the finest Medjool dates from Jordan, infused with luxurious fillings and coated in tempered Belgian chocolate. Their unique flavours, influenced by the Middle East, include Medjool dates infused with ginger, enrobed in dark chocolate, and finished with fiery ginger and a touch of gold leaf.

In addition to the market traders, there will be entertainment throughout the day, ensuring a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Visitors can look forward to a lazy Sunday filled with delicious food, great music, and plenty of fun.

The Shepton Mallet Sunday Market will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am to 3pm, with the following dates scheduled for 2024:

  • Sunday 28th July
  • Sunday 29th September
  • Sunday 24th November

Plans are already in place to expand the market to ten events in 2025, running from March through November.
