The Bath & West Food & Drink Festival is set to return to Shepton Mallet this March, bringing a packed programme of talks, tastings, and tours – with plenty of cheese on the menu.

Held at the Bath & West Showground on 22-23 March 2025, the festival will once again host the British & Irish Cheese Awards, now in their 29th year.

The event will showcase hundreds of cheeses from across the UK and Ireland, with visitors able to sample some of the winning entries on one of the new Cheese Tours, led by this year's awards judges.

Food and drink stands will surround the judging arena, featuring some of the South West's best producers, offering everything from real ales and craft beer to cider, jam, gelato, cheese, and chocolate.

On the Farmhouse Kitchen Stage, special guests will take part in talks and demonstrations, covering topics from farming to feasting. There will also be plenty to keep younger visitors entertained, with kids' cooking workshops, creative crafts, and food and farming activities. The Bath & West Steam Railway will also be open throughout the weekend.

The British & Irish Cheese Awards 2025 judging will take place on Friday, 21 March, ahead of the festival. Entries for the awards remain open until 17 February.
