Police are stepping up patrols in Shepton Mallet after repeated reports of broken glass at Collett Park and the nearby skate park.
The Shepton Mallet Neighbourhood Policing Team confirmed it is dealing with regular overnight incidents, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays, which are putting park users — especially children and teenagers — at risk.
Officers are working with local partners to tackle the issue and have urged anyone who sees suspicious activity to report it via 101 or the Avon and Somerset Police website.
A police spokesperson said patrols aim to "reassure the community, engage with young people and keep these public spaces safe and welcoming".
The broken glass problems are the latest in a string of anti-social behaviour complaints in the area. Police have not disclosed how many incidents have been logged but confirmed there is an "ongoing presence" at the parks to deter offenders.
Residents are being urged to stay alert and help keep Collett Park and the skate park safe for everyone.
