Shepton Mallet Town Council is inviting residents to a free outdoor cinema day at Collett Park on Saturday, 9 May.

The event will include three films, with screenings running from late morning into the evening.

The line-up is:

• 11 am – Zootropolis 2
• 1.30 pm – Encanto
• 5 pm – Bohemian Rhapsody

The council said people can "just turn up and enjoy the day".

Visitors are being encouraged to bring a picnic.

There will also be food trucks on site, with the event poster advertising a hog roast, popcorn, pizza, hot dogs and pick-and-mix sweets.

In a post, Shepton Mallet Town Council said: "Only a few days to go! Tag a friend and meet at Collett Park.

"Make a day of it with great food, great films, and a brilliant atmosphere.
