Shepton Mallet town centre is set for a busy Sunday as the Sunday Market returns with live music, performers, DJs and family activities.

The event will take place across the town centre this Sunday, with entertainment planned at Town Street, Market Cross, the churchyard and nearby businesses.

Organisers say visitors can expect "something happening round every corner".

The Town Street Stage will host Muddles Mess Up from 10.30am to 12.30pm, with vocals and dark humour from the returning performer.

Kitty Stewart Music will then perform from 1pm to 3pm, bringing folk-infused comedy-pop, soulful vocals and ukulele.

Roaming entertainment will come from Captain Crusty Pickled and the Pickled Herrings, who will be out in the streets from 12.30pm to 1pm and again from 1.45pm to 2.15pm.

DJs will be at Market Cross throughout the day, with Arias and Andre Morris, Hannah Moule, DJ Paul, DJ Himeko and Robbih and Jon on the line-up.

Around town, Susie Joan Face and Body Art will be offering face painting, hair braiding and glitter tattoos near the Art Bank Cafe.

Twinnies Petting Zoo will be in the churchyard, while Repxotics will be inside 10 Market Place with its animals.

St Peter and St Paul's Church tower tours are also planned, with organisers advising people to book early as places usually fill up.
