Families in Shepton Mallet can enjoy a lively morning of dance and laughter as Shed‑Ache, a family dance theatre show by aka Dance Theatre, arrives at Create8 on Tuesday, 13 January 2026. The one‑hour performance starts at 10.30 am at 8 Town Street and is presented by Make the Sunshine CIC.
The show blends contemporary dance, physical comedy and visual storytelling to explore big feelings with humour and heart. Described as "dance theatre's seriously silly show," Shed‑Ache follows two energetic performers as they tumble, balance and surprise their way through a world of sheds, sunflowers and playful chaos, using buckets, flowers and physical humour to engage audiences of all ages.
Audience members have called the performance "wild and exciting with a wholesome message," and teachers have praised it as "high energy and highly recommended." The event is suitable for early years, home‑educating families and schools looking for inspiring live arts experiences that spark laughter and imagination.
Tickets cost £3 per person plus a £1 booking fee, and refreshments will be available. Families are encouraged to book early to secure their places.
