Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to following a burglary at the Mulberry Factory Shop in Shepton Mallet.

The incident happened at around 4.40 pm on Wednesday, 1 July, when two men entered the retailer in Kilver Street and stole handbags described by police as being of significant value.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers have already carried out a number of enquiries, including CCTV checks, house-to-house enquiries and intelligence checks.

The force has now released images of two people who officers believe may have information which could assist the investigation.

The first man is described as white and was wearing a baby blue hooded top, jogging bottoms and a black baseball cap.

The second man is also described as white and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Officers said they would particularly like to hear from anyone who may know the identity of the two men pictured.
