Date: 20.07.2018Time: 21:47Location: Hillmead, Shepton MalletThe Fire Service were called to a report of alarms operating within a flat at the above location.  One fire appliance from Glastonbury was mobilised to this incident.  On arrival crews stated that there was smoke issuing so further fire appliances were mobilised to assist them, they both proceeded from Shepton Mallet.This was a fire within a top flat of a three storey building of brick and tile construction measuring approximately 10m x 20m.  One male casualty rescued by the fire service and being assessed by paramedics..  Forced entry made by the Fire Service.  Crews extinguished using four breathing apparatus, one attack jet, one safety jet, thermal imaging camera and positive pressure fan.  3% fire damage to the cooker only.  Casualty being conveyed to hospital.  The cause of the fire was accidental.
