Somerset Council announces evening closures on Waterloo Road, Shepton Mallet, for resurfacing.

Drivers in Shepton Mallet are being warned of evening closures on Waterloo Road as resurfacing works get underway.

The stretch between Cowl Bridge and Longbridge—covering 455 metres—will be shut from 6.30 pm to 11.30 pm each weekday evening between Tuesday 10 June and Tuesday 17 June.

Somerset Council confirmed the work is being limited to weekdays only, with the road clear at other times.

A signed diversion route will be in place, and access for residents and local businesses will be maintained throughout.
