The A361 in Pilton has been closed following a burst water main, with the closure expected to last until Friday, 10 January.

Bristol Water made the decision to shut the road for safety reasons while repairs take place. Motorists are being urged to plan ahead and remain patient during the disruption.

A spokesperson from Travel Somerset said: "Bristol Water has closed the A361 Whitson Hill, Pilton due to a burst water main. The road closure is expected to be in place from January 8 to January 10."

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes while the work is completed.
