Saturday 8 August
Have you ever wished you were part animal / part mineral / part fruit? Come and make your own magical creature! Mask, tails and claws... Join artist Kirsten Madeira-Revell and writer Polly Hall for a free drop-in workshop at Shepton Mallet Library.
Kirsten and Polly are creating brand new mythological hybrid creatures inspired by the many different things that make us who we are — our backgrounds, our families, our passions and our dreams. Now it's your turn! You'll make your very own hybrid animal mask, tail, paws or claws that captures something special about you — whether that's brave like a lion, quick like a fox, or something completely made up and magical.
No experience needed. All materials provided. Fun for all the family — drop in any time. This event is leading up to Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2026.
Saturday 8th August, Shepton Mallet Library, Street. Free, drop-in. 10:00 - 13:00
All ages welcome.
