Shepton Mallet Gymnastics Club has ended the year with great success for their tumblers.
The club's Tumblers travelled to Bristol to compete in the South West Tumbling Championships and came home with lots of very happy gymnasts.
First to complete was Millie Rood in the Silver category. The group was an extremely large one with a lot of experienced tumblers.
Millie fought hard to overcome her nerves with new tumbles to complete, she pushed herself to gain an amazing gold medal and is now South West Tumbling Champion for 2019.
Next up were more tumblers in the Silver category. Calla Scott is the youngest of the club's tumblers and showed to be one of the strongest in her passes on the track, bringing home an impressive silver medal at the championships.
Her team mates in the older group were Darcie Snaith and Natalie Lythaby who both showed their tumbling skills in style with Darcie becoming a bronze medallist at the South West Championships and Natalie performing her best passes to date.
The club's senior gymnasts were also finishing off the last competition of the year with style. Nathaniel Halls tumbled his way to becoming the club's second South West Tumbling Champion with a clear four marks ahead of silver.
Training partner Sarah-Jane Evemy-Bradley competed in her first regional competition and showed that her work paid off.
She showed great strength in her passes and will be back in the new year with new moves on the track.
