Shepton Judo's success at the British masters

Shepton Judo Club were triumphant again last weekend, at the British Masters Championships, held in London.
This saw the end of the competitive judo season, with the club bringing home another incredible haul of medals.
Dianne White, Jo Gregory, Steve Bowles and Mark Adams were all crowned British masters champions for 2019.
Frank Boardman won silver and Kylie Adams won bronze. Yet again the players displayed the highest standard of judo, battling hard for every victory in an adrenaline charged atmosphere.
This has been an amazingly successful year for the Shepton masters squad. In this competitive season, players have travelled as far as Grand Canaria and Morocco to compete.
Competitions include the World, European, Commonwealth, and British Masters championships. In total the club has achieved an unbelievable 24 medals, 8 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze. These results reflect the talent and dedication of their coach (and fellow fighter) Dianne White.
As well as Shepton Judo club being a successful club on the competitive scene, it is also a wonderfully strong club for its non-competitive/recreational members.
The coaching team, lead by Dianne White, has the uncanny ability to bring the best out of its members.
Shepton Judo club trains weekly at Doulting, West Pennard and Wells, it is open to anyone over the age of 5 to come and give it a go.
