Wells charity match pits police against fire crews

Wells Football Club will host a charity football match between Avon and Somerset Police and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service on Saturday, (18 July 2026). The match kicks off at 1 pm and is being held in support of The Fire Fighters Charity and Miscarriage UK.
The fixture will see the two emergency service teams compete for local bragging rights while raising awareness for the two causes. Organisers are encouraging residents, families and friends to come along and support the teams.
The match is being promoted as an afternoon of community football for charity. Supporters are invited to cheer on both sides at Wells Football Club.
The event takes place at Wells Football Club on Saturday, 18 July 2026, with kick-off at 1 pm.
