Truck enthusiasts in Shepton Mallet are in for a treat as Truckfest South West gears up to return to the Bath & West Showground this summer.

The event is set to take place from 31st August to 1st September 2024, promising an exciting blend of entertainment and displays for the whole family.

Since its inception in 1983, Truckfest has established itself as a premier event, offering a fantastic family experience that spans across the country.

This year, visitors can expect an array of attractions including Monster Trucks and Arena Stunt Shows, a meet-and-greet with celebrities and children's characters, exhilarating rides, and an impressive showcase of incredible trucks.

Highlights of the event include the Monster Truck Car Crushing Action, featuring the mighty Swamp Thing and Slingshot. The adrenaline-pumping Broke FMX show will bring the UK's top-ranked freestyle motocross riders, showcasing heart-stopping tricks that are usually reserved for television audiences. Additionally, visitors will have the chance to ride the Slingshot Ride Truck and be part of the thrilling action.

A wide range of trucks will be on display, from American rigs and customised trucks to emergency vehicles and vintage trucks. The event will also be graced by the presence of the legendary 'Ice Road Trucker' Todd Dewey, adding a touch of celebrity glamour to the occasion.

For those planning to attend, advance ticket purchases are recommended for the best prices. Ticket prices are as follows: Adult tickets at £18, Child (5-15 Years) at £10, and Family (2 Adults & 2 Children) at £46. Day tickets are also available at £25 for adults, £15 for children, and £65 for a family pass. Camping options are available, and visitors are encouraged to head to the Truckfest website for full details and to book a pitch.

The event will run from 9 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, with the last admission at 3 pm, and from 9 am to 4:30 pm on Sunday, with the last admission at 2:30 pm. Visitor parking is free and available on site, with limited disabled parking spaces also allocated.
