Shepton Mallet Town Council opens community grant applications for local projects

Shepton Mallet Town Council is now inviting applications for its latest round of community grants, offering financial support to local organisations and groups working on projects that benefit the town. Whether you're launching a new initiative or continuing an existing service, funding is available, including opportunities for matched funding.

The current grant round will close on 27th October, and local groups are encouraged to apply before the deadline.

The community grant programme is aimed at properly established groups, clubs, committees, or charities that have charitable or community-focused objectives. To be eligible, projects must directly benefit Shepton Mallet residents.

Three types of grants are available:

  • One-off Small Grants: Funding from £1 to £500 for specific projects.
  • One-off Large Grants: Available for both revenue and capital funding, ranging from £501 to £2,000.
  • Strategic Grants: Awarded in exceptional cases, these provide long-term funding through a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for projects critical to the well-being of the town.

Groups interested in applying should complete the application form and review the Council’s Grants Policy before submitting their proposal.

With applications closing in less than a month, local organisations are urged to act quickly to secure funding for their initiatives.
