Residents have until Wednesday, 4 November, to comment on plans relating to Doulting Stone Quarry near Shepton Mallet.

A separate application seeks changes to planning conditions that would delay construction of a new access road to the A361.

Two applications ask Somerset Council to vary conditions attached to quarry permissions approved in July 2024. The proposals also refer to the timing of restoration and aftercare plans; both applications are awaiting decisions. A third application concerns five conditions attached to the approved quarry extension. The supporting documents include a soil management scheme, archaeological work plans, a construction environmental management plan and landscape and ecology documents.

The application summary lists 4 November as the deadline for comments.
