Shepton Mallet will host a thunderous new metal festival this September after storm damage forced a major date change.

Ice Rock Winterfest 2026 will now take place at the Bath & West Showground from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September, with a full weekend of bands, DJs, comedy and indoor camping confirmed.

The event had been due to launch in February, but roof repairs — including asbestos removal — mean the venue must close for urgent safety works. Organisers say all tickets remain valid for the new dates.

And there's a silver lining for fans — a third day has now been added, with Sunday acts to be revealed in the New Year.

The debut line-up is packed with 15 rock and metal tribute acts, including:

• Moretallica
• Priest Unleashed
• Slip-NOT
• Ed Force One
• Disturbed UK
• Dirty DC
• Stiff Bizkit
• Megadeth UK
• Chop Suey

Indoor heated camping will keep things cosy, while DJs spin until 3am in the after-hours zone. Saturday also features a comedy break-out and chill space.

Weekend tickets will now include all three days. Refunds are available through Skiddle for those unable to attend the rescheduled dates.
