Santa is set to climb aboard the Bath and West Steam Railway this month as the Showground prepares for two days of festive steam rides.

The Santa Specials will run on Saturday 6 December and Saturday 13 December from 10am to 1pm, with families urged to book early as each train carries only 15 passengers.

A £13 ticket covers one child and two adults and includes a steam train ride, a gift for the child and refreshments, with warm mince pies and hot or cold drinks on offer. Extra adults can join the trip for £5.

The railway also has a wheelchair-accessible carriage, which visitors can request by emailing [email protected].

Timeslots can be booked online under the Santa Specials heading, and free parking is available on site.

Organisers have confirmed the trains will only run on 6 and 13 December and will not operate during the week.
