A Shepton Mallet restaurant and proud sponsor of Nub News is turning up the heat this February with a special Valentine's menu running for one week only.

The three-course offering at La Bella is available from Friday, 9 February to Thursday, 15 February, and promises indulgent Italian-inspired dishes designed for a night to remember.

Starters include smoked salmon bruschetta, classic prawn cocktail, and Sicilian-style arancini with slow-cooked beef ragù. For mains, diners can choose from handmade crab and crayfish ravioli, creamy limoncello penne with smoked salmon, or pan-seared chicken breast in a rich marsala wine sauce.

Desserts range from warm chocolate soufflé with ice cream to fresh strawberries folded into sweet mascarpone cream with a hint of amaretto. The chilled limoncello flute is billed as the perfect palate cleanser to end the evening.

Prices start from £5.50 per dish, with mains up to £18.95. The restaurant has limited availability during Valentine's week and advises booking early to avoid disappointment.

A spokesperson said: "It's all about creating an unforgettable evening. Whether it's a first date or a long-standing tradition, we've designed the menu to make it special."
