Shepton Mallet Sunday Market dates confirmed for 2026
By Laura Linham 5th Mar 2026
Dates have been confirmed for the return of the Shepton Mallet Sunday Market in 2026, with organisers promising another year of traders, food and entertainment in the town centre.
The popular market will run on the last Sunday of the month in Market Place, Shepton Mallet, between 10 am and 3 pm, starting on Sunday, 29 March.
Organisers say the event brings together a curated mix of local producers, street food traders, vintage sellers, designer-makers and independent businesses. Live music, DJs and children's entertainment are also planned throughout the season.
The market is organised by Black Sheep Events CIC, a not-for-profit company run by volunteers from Shepton Mallet with the aim of helping regenerate the town and support local traders.
After what organisers described as a successful first full year of events in 2025, they say the market will return "bigger and better" in 2026.
Dates confirmed so far are:
• Sunday, 29 March
• Sunday, 26 April
• Sunday, 31 May
• Sunday, 28 June
• Sunday, 26 July
• Sunday, 30 August
• Sunday, 27 September
• Sunday, 25 October
• Sunday, 29 November — Christmas Lights Spectacular (11 am – 5 pm)
The market takes place in Market Place, BA4 5AZ. Parking is available nearby at Great Ostry, Commercial Road and Townsend Shopping Park.
Organisers say traders interested in taking part must apply online and will need public liability insurance of £5 million. Stalls are curated to ensure a varied mix of products and traders at each event.
More details about traders and entertainment will be announced closer to each market date.
