Shepton Mallet litter pick planned for spring clean
By Laura Linham 6th Mar 2026
Volunteers in Shepton Mallet are being invited to take part in a community litter pick at the Art Bank on Sunday, 22 March from 10am to 1pm.
The event forms part of the national Great British Spring Clean campaign and is one of several clean-up activities planned across the town.
Organisers say they are working with a number of local organisations and are encouraging residents to get involved in helping tidy public spaces around Shepton Mallet.
Participants will meet at The Art Bank at 10am, before splitting into teams and heading out to designated litter-picking areas around the town.
Organisers will provide litter pickers and equipment, although volunteers are asked to bring gardening gloves and sturdy boots.
At 12pm, volunteers will return to the Art Bank for a snack break, with refreshments donated by local food businesses.
Organisers say the event is open to anyone who wants to help improve the town's environment.
Residents interested in joining the litter pick do not need to book and can simply arrive at the Art Bank before the start time.
