Shepton Mallet marked Remembrance Sunday with a service at the town's Cenotaph today (Sunday, 8 November).
Residents were asked to assemble at 10.35am, with the parade falling in at 10.45am. The service began at 10.47am, ahead of the two-minute silence at 11am.
The town council and Shepton Mallet Royal British Legion organised the service. Honorary branch chaplain Jonathan Hunter-Dunn led the multi-faith service, with Andy Neal acting as parade marshal.
Local organisations laid wreaths at the Cenotaph before the parade marched to St Peter and St Paul's Church.

Everyone was welcome to attend, whether or not they had served in the armed forces or belonged to the Legion. Serving personnel were encouraged to wear uniform, while veterans could wear military headwear and medals.
A gathering for Legion members, veterans and townspeople also took place at The Club in the High Street. The Club opened at 10am for food donations, and copies of the order of service were available on the day.
