Shepton Mallet football fans will be able to watch World Cup matches at a fitting venue — the town's own football club.

Shepton Mallet Town FC has announced it will open its clubhouse for games during the tournament, showing matches on the big screen.

The club is also planning discounted prices on selected lager and cider.

Supporters are being invited to gather at the clubhouse for what the club says will be a "great atmosphere" with like-minded fans.

The club is asking people to keep an eye on its social media channels for details of when the clubhouse will be open for specific fixtures.
