We encourage anyone with information to contact us or report online."
The force confirmed that categories are recorded according to national definitions. Violent crime includes offences ranging from assault to harassment.
Anti-social behaviour covers conduct causing nuisance or distress in public, such as intimidation or vandalism. Burglary refers to unlawful entry into a property with intent to steal or cause harm. Criminal damage and arson relate to deliberate property damage, including setting fires.
Other theft includes incidents not classified as burglary, robbery or shoplifting—such as theft from outdoor areas. Possession of weapons involves carrying items like knives or firearms without lawful reason. Public order offences include threatening or abusive behaviour in public spaces.
Robbery involves the use of force or threats to steal directly from a person. Shoplifting refers specifically to theft from retail premises. Vehicle crime covers the theft of or from vehicles. The 'other crime' category includes less frequent offences that do not fall into the main classifications.
Figures are subject to updates and may take up to 30 days to be finalised.
