Shepton Mallet AFC is revving up for a big community day this Sunday.

The club will host a charity family fun day on Sunday, 3 May 2026, with family entertainment from 12 pm and RITS Team taking on Shepton Allstars at 2 pm.

RITS stands for Riders in the Sky, a local fundraising group.

And after plenty of people asked whether there would be bikes at the match, the group has put the call out to local bikers.

Anyone with a bike they would like to show off to the community is being invited to come along on the day.

There will be food and drink available, plus the chance to watch the RITS team "run themselves silly" on the pitch.

Families can also expect kids' games and challenges, food carts, bouncy castles, an ice cream van and live music.

Money raised will support Riders in the Sky, Shepton Mallet AFC and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Organisers are asking people to come down, bring the family, support the causes and enjoy a proper Shepton Mallet community afternoon.
