Road alert: Evening closures on A361 Paul Street for resurfacing
Drivers in Shepton Mallet are being urged to plan ahead as resurfacing works begin on Paul Street (A361) this week, with weekday evening closures in place.
The road will be closed nightly from 6.30pm to 11.30pm starting Tuesday 9 September, and the works are scheduled to continue until Wednesday 18 September.
The route will remain open during the day and at weekends, but Somerset Council is warning of likely delays and diversions during the evening shutdowns.
The essential resurfacing is part of ongoing maintenance across key routes in Mendip.
Motorists are advised to follow signed diversions and allow extra time for journeys.
