The local consultation over the NASS Festival 2021, which is due to take place later this month near Shepton Mallet, will be held virtually this evening (September 2).
NASS is a four-day festival of music, street art, skate and BMX, and is set to be held at the Bath and West Showground from September 23 to 26, with the headliners being The Streets, Kano and Headie One.
The consultation will take place via Zoom at 6pm tonight and there will be a short presentation before the organisers will take questions from attendees.
It will be recorded and minutes taken, both of which will be made available.
Deputy leader of Mendip District Council and local councillor, Barry O'Leary, said: "Personally speaking, I want this to be not just a Covid-safe event but one that takes on and addresses the many failings of the 2019 event - traffic management, antisocial behaviour and noise.
"I've already raise lots of concerns with the organisers and will continue to do so.
"I also do recognise that they have made great steps and improving are trying to improve things.
"We have Truckfest this weekend, of which there has not been any local consultation from the organisers, at the Bath and West, and last weekend we had the Country Show there too.
"As many people have suggested, I have already put in a request for funding from NASS for the Evercreech Skate Park too.
"I believe its important to hear what the organisers have to say and to work with them so we get better outcomes."
There is no need to register for the local consultation Zoom call, just click this link at 6pm this evening.
