Work has started on a modern, self-service car wash in a previously unused plot behind Tesco in Shepton Mallet.

Named Smart Auto Spa, the facility is just off Cannards Grave roundabout on Station Road.

Significant progress has been made with installing a large commercial water tank. Additionally, on Monday, 20th November, roadworks commenced to fit a heavy duty gas pipe.

The Smart Auto Spa boasts advanced features like underfloor heating, softened water, and facilities for hot wax and pre-soak treatments. The self-service car wash is designed for driver convenience and will offer multiple bays to reduce waiting times.

Design renders reveal that the car wash will operate from 7am to 11pm. The building is set to include modern lighting and a roof, ensuring customers stay dry during wet weather.
